Title Clerk

We are seeking an experienced Title Clerk.

Job Duties – Responsibilities

• Process Titles & Registrations: Handle all paperwork for vehicle ownership transfer, including applications and license plates, for new, used, and wholesale vehicles.
• DMV Liaison: Submit legal transfer documents to the Texas DMV and ensure all filings comply with state regulations.
• Document Accuracy: Verify customer information, funds collected, and lienholder payoffs are correct before processing.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed, accurate records of all title and registration transactions and outstanding work.
• Reporting: Provide monthly reports to management on missing titles and uncollected funds.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Detail-Oriented: Meticulous in checking documents for errors.
• Organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer Proficiency: Experience with data entry and dealership software (like Reynolds & Reynolds) is preferred.
• Communication: Clear communication for internal staff and sometimes customers.
• Must stay current on Texas Department of Motor Vehicle (TxDMV) regulations.

Familiarity with specific state forms and procedures for vehicle titling and registration in Texas is crucial.
